MEETING CLOSING -The Promises

We have time for ? more shares. Double dipping is welcomed. (3 minutes each approx.) Does anyone have a burning desire to speak?

The time available for sharing has ended. The opinions expressed here were those of the person who gave them. Take what you like and leave the rest.

Our Twelfth Tradition reminds us that "anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our traditions, ever reminding us to place principles before personalities."

Who you see here……What is said here……When you leave here……Stays here!

In closing let us reflect on THE PROMISES:

  1. If we are painstaking about this phase of our development, we will be amazed before we are halfway through.
  2. We are going to know a new freedom and a new happiness.
  3. We will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it.
  4. We will comprehend the word serenity and we will know peace.
  5. No matter how far down the scale we have gone, we will see how our experience can benefit others.
  6. That feeling of uselessness and self-pity will disappear.
  7. We will lose interest in selfish things and gain interest in our fellows.
  8. Self-seeking will slip away.
  9. Our whole attitude and outlook on life will change.
  10. Fear of people and of economic insecurity will leave us.
  11. We will intuitively know how to handle situations that used to baffle us.
  12. We will suddenly realize that God is doing for us what we could not do for ourselves.
Are these extravagant promises? We think not. They are being fulfilled among us, sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly. They will always materialize if we work for them.

If you would like to get a copy of the meeting's phone list, or have your number placed on that list, please remain on the call after the closing. Likewise, this is the best time to ask questions about the program and sponsorship.

Finally, we invite those who wish to stand and join in the Serenity prayer.

Lifting our eyes from shame to grace: God, grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Keep coming back, It works if you work it and you are worth it!
